Itthipol, who attended the court session in Rayong province yesterday, left without addressing the media following the verdict. The court ruled in his favour as the charges, dating back to his mayoral tenure in 2008, had expired. Reasonable people often wonder why it takes so long for cases to be brought before the court, or for this or that commission to issue a report or charges of a crime. It's all a well-coordinated effort on the part of various governmental employees to keep most graft from being aired or prosecuted. Gotta keep those rivers of money rolling into the pockets of those "governing". Any real prosecutions or charges actually filed in a timely manner are surely just to keep the public hoodwinked and/or remove those that are out of favor with those in real control.- 1

Clickbait with an agenda. And I never fail to inwardly cringe, as a former journalist, every time I see a phrase like "Asim’s apprehension is the culmination of a coordinated effort between the Immigration Bureau and the local Phetcha Buri police." Yeah, right. They were charged, entered into a database and it popped up on the IO's screen. Lots of coordinated effort there. It's like really poor PR instead of news reporting.
