Are electric scooters allowed on the road. I remember that such electric scooters are banned in Phuket sometimes back. Futher this is 3 wheel ment for elderly and handicapped which has its limitations when operate. Do such vehicles have proper breaking and safety features to operate on busy roads?

They should stick to short, local trips with little traffic.

Clearly shows the old guy on a mobility scooter. Presumably, there aren’t any restrictions on their use here. The bloke in the car was operating on the first unwritten road rule in Thailand- might beats rights, and T boned the witless individual accordingly. Shit like this will continue to happen when there is an absence of definitive road laws on giving way at an intersection and inadequate signage at the intersections, as was the here.
