IF the guy was drunk I really hope he will be prosecuted and do jail time, any vehicle is a lethal weapon when ridden/driven by a drunk!!

I also hope the motorbike taxi driver will be prosecuted for carrying more poeple than is allowed and failing to ensure his passengers were wearing crash helmets as it seems their injuries would likely be considerably less then.

Seen the CCTV footage of this on the local news the 39 year old British Chap was hammering it no excuses for drink driving in Pattaya when there's ample motorbike taxis ,Bolt and Grab he should have sobered up by now and his Star Wars Door will be doing ten to a dozen at the amount of drama he's in no sympathy for him at 39 years old should have known better.

Let us just look from a different angle this incident. Let us be neutral....just keep the intoxication aside. Based on the narration (I have not seen the vido clip) The motorcycle taxi driver was taking a U-turn. The drunken brick (sorry for my word as his brain is typically like a brick at this juncture)  was riding at high speed straight.....So who has the right of way to go first and who has to stop to give way? In this situation the brick has the right of way. Should the taxi driver has noticed and stopped, this would not have happened. It is called defensive riding/driving. Again, there are many things to consider in this impact. I am just sharing my view based on the narration in the report. For sure the brick has to be penalized for his drinking and riding act.
