Some robust, enforceable labour laws wouldn’t go astray. Jail time for the directors of the company sounds about right. These migrant construction workers are participating in work practices that were outlawed in the west 50 years ago.

The turmoil ensued shortly after the crane’s catastrophic collapse yesterday at approximately 5pm, prompting 600 surviving workers to barricade the site gate. They demanded a meeting with the construction firm’s management regarding compensation, before granting access to authorities for rescue efforts.

Looks like their action paid for the first time.....may be they need to repeat again this in 3 months down the road, if these people are still empoyed at the site.
