He sat on his knees and his neck was tied with a blue rope. The end of the rope was tied to a tree, leading officers to suspect that he had committed suicide.

Something is not clear. How can a person sitting on his knees die by committing suicide. He never hang himself. The end of the rope tied to a tree.....which part? Tree trunk? Sometiems, in fact many times such reporting doesn't make sense at all...

Indeed, but I did hear of a case here many years ago, where a man was found to have committed suicide, by shooting himself in the temple; twice !
