Dr don't accept the apology. Let this be a lesson to all those who think they are big due to connections and money. Pull him to court and sue him maximum till his underpants and make sure that Thailand kicks out such people from the land of Thousand Smiles. These foreigners think that they are great and taking advantage of the humbleness of Thai people. Just teach him a lesson that his mother failed to do when he was young.

"He reiterated that he perceived the incident as an accident and emphasised that his defence of Fehr was not motivated by financial considerations."

Seems like the lawyer is as much of a lying piece of scum as this Swiss excuse for a man who thinks it is big to kick a small woman in the back. In the video he clearly does NOT stumble but walks very purposefully up to her and kicks her in the back whilst shouting 'get the f*ck off'. I hope she does NOT accept the apology and the pathetic cowardly excuse for a man is prosecuted for the assault.

That guy is a dirtball, kicking an unsuspecting woman in the back like that.  No apology is sufficient. Fine him and deport him back to Europe.

Looks at pictures of his apology news conference

He's wearing a T-shirt

Why wouldn't you wear a collared shirt and dress appropriately

I really hope he gets his visa revoked

My guess is he`ll offer some financial compensation to the woman and all will be forgotten.

Sadly that is most likely true, such a shame that cash replaces justice so often in Thailand. He should be prosecuted AND have to make financial recompense!

The wife seems worse to be fair, imprisoned for four years for sitting on the steps just off a beach. Had he really slipped he'd have apologized at the time, obviously intentional. Nutters the pair of them.

What happens in Swissieland?

A person is actually trespassing on your cow pasture, and you go verbally battering them and kick her up the back could you be charged?

This is a lithmus test. Let us wait and see who is the boss in the land of Thousand smiles....Thai people or wealthy foreigner? I have the strong feeling that eventually the wealthy foreigner will find his way out sneaking into another region to kick another Thai lady. Because it is Thailand....The land of Thousand possibilities also...

It's all over the Thai social media and it seems it's a pretty big deal to locals.

Another issue now poped up in Jomtien....again another foreigner injured a Thai lady for no reason.....Looks like there is going to be a fuss over all the foreigners especially from the Western countries....

His visa is being revoked

I honestly think they acted on this so quickly because the police really didn't threaten the doctor with that ridiculous trespassing and 4 years jail

So they had to cover themselves

Regardless, good riddance

Just read this snippet from Khaosodenglish.com:

"Mr. Fehr's Thai wife reported arrived at the scene and threatened to have Dr. Pai arrested for trespassing. She announced that "Thais can apologise to Farang (foreigner), but no Farang needs to say sorry to Thai people."

Should give you an idea of what these people are like. They clearly think they are better than everyone else because he's a foreigner.

This is like when you find a loose thread on your jumper and you start pulling at it to remove it but soon  realise that you no longer have a jumper, rather an entangled yarn of wool.

What started as a minor assault, has morphed into the discovery of an illegal land encroachment, that has embroiled the owners of the land, which in turn has ignited claims of land title corruption, directed at a public official from the land titles office.

This is the stuff of movies.
