Jailing a customer because of feedback… TiT

It's sort of like Putin jailing and killing any opposition.

A left wing Judge and Attorney General in New York are trying to extort a former President for 350 million for a non crime is it any better in the US?

On Tripadvisor this hotel has mostly negative reviews recently and a warning message banner from Tripadvisor. And Tripadvisor doesn't disclose prices and links for any search on the calendar, but instead it gives "contact the property".

What an incredibly stupid reaction from the hotel

It only invited bad press

On TA, the hotel can reply to reviews

So they could have politely replied to the review with their perspective

People would have moved on and chalked it up to a traveled bad experience

Happens in every hotel, even the most luxurious 5 star hotels

Yeah, but that's not how things work in Thailand.

Just as was discussed in the thread about having to be silent regarding politics in the country, foreigners who live here need to remember they don't have those freedoms of speech enjoyed in their home countries.

Agreed

Still doesn't negate the fact it was a foolish short sighted move by the hotel
