That’s unusual. Farang are often deemed to have committed suicide by self inflicted knife wounds to the back or blunt force trauma to their heads but not in this seemingly open & shut case. I wonder where the ex Thai wife’s “brother” was at the time of death….

A decision of murder over suicide is indeed very unusual in the case of a sudden death by a foreigner in Thailand. There must be some VERY compelling evidence.

Suicide is maybe not as newsworthy as suspected murder for a headline writer. The police of course should investigate all posibilities in situations like this, but realistically what murderer would take a helium tank and plastic bag to a murder scene, and then go to the bother of writing a note for the housekeeper to call the police.

The sad truth is an expat who has lived here for many many years, who suffered from depression and loneliness decided he would end the pain he was in rather than let it continue.

In case you wonder he was a friend of mine, and the world just lost an unsung talented artist and sculptor, who's work has brought joy to thousands of people all around the world.

This is unusual the police will take suicide as the easy option over murder, must be some obvious evidence they cannot ignore,
