Long Term Renewal Applications.....initialling

Each year I am required to initial and date every piece of paper contained in my original and copy of all of my renewal documents.

Is this routine?

Does where you intial matter?

Yes it is your signature on everything that doesn't move. Basically better to wait and have them tell you where to sign and then sign fast to not hold them up. Used to be at the bottom and then they stamp over it, but there needed to be enough room. I just went through one a couple of weeks ago and did not sign this year like last year. They actually had me sign in the middle of some with my wife. Some atthe bottom. This year there was not stamp.
