Really! Must be a funny sort of scabbard, with most scabbards the sword comes out away from where the tip is pointing. Methinks maybe someone is being economical with the truth.

Could be a shit scabbard. I know someone whose cheap, imitation katana slipped through the tip of the soft sheath. However no more than the tip peeped through.
