King cobras are among the most placid snake species. To be bit you have to scare it or hurt it, either deliberately or otherwise. A very friendly animal that, ironically, consumes more dangerous snakes such as karaits, which cause more human fatalities.

I don't think it is King Cobra. All venomous snakes will give warning sign before attacking. This could be some non-poisonous snake resting under the bush which she migh have accidentally stirred. That could have caused the reptile to attack in defence and quickly escape. If it is King Cobra, then she would have been gone before help arrives as its venom attackes the nevous system. At least if it is viper then there is a possibility of her being alive for sometimes as its venom attacks the circulatory system. King Cobras are the most venomous repties and they can spit their venom to kill small animals. That is its nature. So King Cobras will not easily attack any person. Further the snake has to open its mouth fully for the poisionus fangs to be stretched. A simple kiss will not inject venom into the body. It is only the other fangs that cause the superficial injuiry. Mostly people are panic that is what causes the problem after a snake bite.
