Going against traffic is a common occurance in almost every corner of Thailand. Another thing is that these motorcyclists always ignore the blind spots of heavy vehicles. I wonder if they really know the exact meaning of "Blid Spot"

This is not news, it's a normal day story. It will never change until the Authorities introduce proper, formal, effective motorbike training and examination, clamp down on this idiotic acceptance of bikes travelling the wrong way down the road and stop turning a blind eye to the lack of certified helmets, not the 500 Baht plastic rubbish sold extensively here.  None of that will happen of course, so the everyday stories of death and destruction will continue. Frankly, I for one have lost all interest in hearing/reading about these accidents.  'So what',  is my response.

Fatalistic Amulet- Wearing Superstition combined with Very Low Average IQ (outside Chinese Thais) and Inability to Change= “ Thai Culture” = 50,000 Dead Kids on Road ANNUALLY = National Disgrace= Acceptance & No Change. Imagine how many latent Thai geniuses are Lost each year. At least 1,000 or so…..

Law & Training are Meaningless without Safety Culture which can Never Exist here.

Medicine and Aviation here however DO have High Western Safety Standards…. But these people are top 1%.
