I'm wanting to apply for a 90 day non imm o visa in Singapore or Malaysia. 

I know i need proof of 400k baht but can i show proof in my AUS bank account rather than a Thai bank?

For the visa at the Thai embassy you are correct, but not for the extension at immigration in Thailand.
