For the sake of the poor animals, just bring back both and let them spend the rest of their days in their home land. Immigrant life is the worst life on earth for humans. As such no need to mention about the miscerable life of these speech less poor souls.

A good many of them have an equally miserable life in Thailand.  For a 'supposed' Buddhist Country, ( I don't see much evidence of that myself) the Nation is not at all good with caring for animals, and tackling obvious animal cruelty.

You mean the behid the scenes for what we as normal people do not see. The other country is so far in debt from corruption and China's debt trap that there should be no loaned animals still allowed to stay there. Suprised the didn't eat the elephant yet after they have ate all of its food. The good thing is this elepahnt is now going to be always well taken care of for who is backing it now.
