Anyone been following this - in my opinion, witch-hunt?

It concerns a British Neonatal nurse, standing trial for the alleged murder of 7 babies & attempt of 10.

Just one thing wrong. There's no evidence, only unfounded suspicion.

The summing up by her Defence Lawyer has started.

Her picture.

The below link demonstrates what a complete load of rubbish, the trial is.

Summing up by Benjamin Myers QC for the defence continues.

She is accused of injecting days-old babies with air, overfeeding them with milk, deliberately obstructing their airways or poisoning them with insulin.

None of has any evidence, only opinion.

He listed seven of the nurse’s alleged victims and said they were all victims of “serial failures of care”.

I believe that a reason is being looked for, & the prosecution, want it to be Lucy.

Continuing his defence closing speech at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday, June 29, Ben Myers KC: “The accusation is that Lucy Letby interfered with the tube and interfered with the alarm knowing it would not go off.

Dr Jayaram alleges he saw Lucy 'intefere' with a babies breathing tube.

But, he only mentioned this to the police...one year later.

Picture of Lucy at her place of work.

We say the most striking feature of this allegation is he did nothing despite what he claimed to the police nearly a year later.

He's a Consultant Neo- natologist, & did nothing about the supposed event!

Is this a witch hunt? Or a sequence of events slowly unfolding until the police were eventually called?

Interesting article...👍

I mentioned in my third post about Dr Jayaram, who says he LL 'dislodge' a breathing tube. He didn't report it until a year later.

Bit odd, I think.

My thoughts are that they're trying to find a reason, someone to blame for the rise in deaths.

Unfortunately, LL is copping it.

Myers QC for the defence also said this about Dr Jayaram.

Dr Jayaram said he didn’t have the training. Well, I don’t know what they teach you at consultant school, but how so many of them were struck silent during the course of thesei events is amazing.”

Any Material Evidence would quickly & untraceably go.
Unless she used traceable Poison or Overdose. Or Talk to Anyone.
Or Write down anything … oh wait she did. Babies can’t Testify.
Also One Expert Witness……seems discrecited though ….

Except Massive Circumstantial Evidence …..include that Note ..sufficient to Convict.
one or two deaths on her watch .. Coincidence perhaps….

Seven dead babies … those poor lost souls 😠I think not …. beyond Careless.

Cant be any “ witch hunt” can it ? She’s a non-entity, a nobody.

Possible she’s been cleverly set up by an enemy …. witness Doctor was rebuffed for example ?  ..

but any of that stuff would have emerged by now….no surprise if she gets Life. 😡👍

Well, the Jury has been told:

"to decide where truth lies"

Judge Mr Justice James Goss has started summing up the evidence in the case before the jury retires to consider its verdicts.

SEC_146297156-4238.jpg.02f4396b0e3dbfffef403d2a77b56ebe.jpg

Mr Justice Goss is expected to spend a total of four days summing up the case, telling the jury it was for them to determine "who is and who isn't telling you the truth".

But read this.

As clinicians, we put our faith in the system… in senior management to escalate concerns and investigate them. The initial response was, “It’s unlikely that anything is going on. We’ll see what happens”.

*extreme sarcasm alert*

Never mind, their concerns only resulted in two more deaths.

And shifted any blame onto senior management!

After those concerns were raised, from November 2015 onwards, Letby allegedly went on to murder two children and attempted to kill six others.

Whatever the truth is, Senior management, & the Consultant Firm, did a disgraceful job!

She was found guilty.  I lost interest after that. We will see on the re trial, which is on 2 counts out of 7.  so I've still moved on from this story.

Found guilty of 7 counts of murder. Cops unable to find a motive. Need to wait for the appeal to see how well the conviction holds up.

Its not an appeal, it's a re trial, but only on 2 counts out of 7.  Either way, she stays in Jail.

Convicted in UK criminal court. Test of “ beyond reasonable doubt” well met. Sufficient Evidence both Physical and Circumstantial. Definitively got her with the “ excessive insulin” death on her watch which had to be human intervention, and she was right there, as opposed to air or milk methods. Plus that Note. She wanted to be caught. Motive ? Psychopaths don’t require one so Irrelevant. She’s clearly Mentally Ill and requires lifetime separation from society. Spare us the absorb “ witch hunt” and “ rubbish trial” nonsense.

This sound conviction was painstaking years in the making and secured in a world class justice system.
