Life in the Isaan Boonies.
Thanks for that Bob. What I was doing for years was regularly copying any worthwhile files to flash drives. I have a couple of 128g ones and they are fast and pretty stable. However, and I can't even blame Mrs Snaps, I hadn't backed up for a number of months. So lots of work went. However, some data was put up on the internet (not generally viewable) so that was recoverable. The three web sites that I run, and maintain, are all fully functioning. What made me cry though, was a couple of more recent chapters of my book; 'Diary of a Priest'. Fortunately, I had put up Part 1 onto the WWW. But, I've lost a lot of interest lately, and don't think the enthusiasm will ever return to get the lost ones rewritten. Oh yes; my physiology essays and jokes that I'm continually making up. Here's one,,,,!! Poor Fatima. She does get some rib-poking. Almost forgot. I did recover some of my music. That changed the frown to a smile for a while. So! Have to live and learn. Onwards and upwards. Go with the flow, and ride the punches; and other airborne objects. Can't complain. Computer is great. Is there a better place to be than in a small Isaan village? Seven cats, two dogs, 4 ducks, a lovely daughter and a wife that does make an exceedingly nice cup of Rosy.- 1
