How?

Even if I wanted to I suspect I would be unable to get a car onto the second floor of a house.

There was, somewhere, another car in the way of the pick up.

Perhaps that one was kind of a ramp?

You would have to be Evel Knievel to pull off a stunt like that.

I suspect you are younger than me so you may need to google that.

Oh, they had movies about Evel Knievel, I get what you referring too.

Just this wasn't a safely prepared stunt.

Just speed, a curb, perhaps another car as ramp in the way and 2 floor as a result.

You did read "... destroying the roof and damaging another car. ", didn't you?

And to give you an idea, how such could have looked like:

on CBS News they had a video of a flight like this

"Speeding car goes airborne, crashes into second floor of California building"

(Don't link it, 'cause I do not know if that would be ok)

the result :

At first, if you straighten the picture so that the walls are vertical, it doesn't look all that bad. Then you read on to see that the upper floor has to be demolished to save the bottom floor. Not bad! Hope he has a dashcam of the incident and it is released. Might pay for some of he damage caused.

Happy that the five inside the house were not injured - just shocked.
