Generally most Thais having the bad habit of putting ice basically in every drink irrespective of the time in a day. They should avoid ice for a healthy living. May be some celebrities should start a campaign on "Ice Free Living" as Thais are easily influenced by celebrities.

On my first visit to Thailand, nearly 40 years ago, one of the phrases I came armed with was "mai nam khaeng", because of the likelyhood that the ice had been made with non-potable water. It seems that little has changed.
