Tina Turner has died, at the age of 83.

"She had suffered ill health in recent years, being diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016 and having a kidney transplant in 2017."

Saw her in San Diego in the 90`s. The Brian Setzer Orchestra was the opening act. Great show!

After all this time - 40 years eggs Zachary, Nutbush was released.

Only today did I learn, that Nutbush is a place in Tennessee.

Some 50+ years ago I played Nutbush City Limits record to my trendy flatmates.

Asked to turn off that crap.

6 weeks later they wanted the LP to go to a party.

I moved out the next day.

Still often play tracks off her Live In  Europe CD, I never saw her live, I wish I had - even at  60 she could blow today's "superstars" off the stage.

Vale Tina Turner.

I loved her hits. What she did with her music campaigns with Rugby League are well remembered. Her commercials were a catalyst that drew people to the game and helped it develop a new level of Professionalism.

Long loved and will be long remembered.
