Sensationalizing something "may happen" that scares the hell out of many Thais.

My wife read something similar and has cleaned out the car, literally, now asks if water is safe to leave in a car.

I told her I have lived in areas that experience 45-50 deg C temps and have never seen this happen.

Not to have a go at your wife(believe me mine says some shit to) but isn't that on your wife asking if water is safe???

 

The warning seems pretty reasonable to me, it has been extremely hot and this can happen

Agree, but she was worried it could explode too.
