One thing is cruelty to animals and another thing is remaining silent after seeing that cruelty is being done to animals. Both are the same.

"Disturbed" is an understatement. Psycho killer is more appropriate. No doubt he would move to humans next. He needs to be put down.

Shame on his fellow monks for not contacting authorities earlier. Two years is a long time to see and not report someone doing this.
