KaptainRob Posted May 6, 2023 #302676 Share Posted May 6, 2023 It's like an Aussie Bunnings, or an upmarket GlobalHouse (but with quality HomePro service) and a mini food hall/cafeteria. From: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ChiangMaiNewsinEnglish/ On May 5th, 2023, Wichian Chiamwijitkul, Assistant Managing Director of Mega Home Center Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of HomePro, revealed that the company invested 461 million baht to open a new branch in the northern region, "Mega Home Chiang Mai," the 23rd one-stop construction materials center, on a 28-acre area. The branch is built on a sales area of 9,148 square meters, located along the Chiang Mai-Lampang Superhighway, which is a ring road connecting the city and catering to purchasing power in and around Chiang Mai, San Kamphaeng, Saraphi districts, and nearby provinces. Mega Home Chiang Mai, the 23rd branch, will start its service on May 5th, 2023, offering a comprehensive range of construction materials and technician services, including structural products, doors, windows, painting, woodworking, tools, sanitary ware, tiles, kitchen work, garden decoration, electrical appliances, household items, and furniture, all under one roof.
palooka Posted May 6, 2023 #302685 Share Posted May 6, 2023 Now do those shirts look like Bunnings apparel or not? Don't really care, the country (& farlungs), need this service badly. Bunnings withdrawals. Yep. Nearly cry when I go shopping for something specific at the locals. Have everything BUT.

The layout and design, including signage, could fool you into thinking you were in a Bunnings... until you look at the pretty little female staff. There were some lookers there yesterday, alas no sausage sizzle. Apart from having a separate full-fledged raw building materials section, there's also a whole internal aisle devoted to solar systems. PV cells, cables, connectors, charge controllers, inverters and batteries, everything for pro or DIY installation.

KaptainRob Posted May 14, 2023 Author #304484 Share Posted May 14, 2023 2nd visit was a quiet weekday morning and I was impressed with the attention to detail. ie: they have a physical catalogue of samples, like off-cuts, of timber/wallboard/cladding/roofing/steel/pipe/hose and much more - all in one section, on panels, just inside near the building supplies outer area. All dimensions and relevant data is right there, simply select and staff will make up your order. Paint section > Solar section >
