Manu Posted April 26, 2023 #300948 Share Posted April 26, 2023 Quote Thailand detects 6 new cases of Omicron XBB.1.16 subvariant and one XBB.1.16.1 But "nothing to panic". Great. Nobody would have if you never told us about it. But then of course, just because you told us then some will do exactly that: panic. We were told the same a year ago in April 2022, well it was "nothing to fear" then (https://thethaiger.com/news/national/first-case-of-xe-covid-variant-in-thailand-nothing-to-fear). Same back in December 2021 for the first Omicron (https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/no-need-to-panic-over-thailands-first-omicron-case-says-pm). "Nothing to panic", we tell you!! And indeed there was "nothing to panic" in September 2021 too with Mu's arrival (anyone remembers that one? ). https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/health-ministry-says-dont-panic-no-cases-of-mu-variant-found-in-thailand So since almost 2 years now, we are told in Thailand there is nothing to panic. And indeed there is nothing to panic and was always nothing to panic. Now how about "nothing to announce" from authorities and "nothing to write and talk about" from the media??
