You can get about the same result, with just using the Dry mode. Depending on model and brand, you can even regulate this with setting it to a specific temp. But anyway, in dry it is cooling, too, and not that much, like in cool. On the other hand, what would be a better power saver, keep the walls on the sunny side in shade and insulate the roof.
