Reporting corruption in the RTP is now an almost daily occurrence, it doesn’t surprise or shock anyone anymore, such a shame that the Thai people have to put up with this “mafia” I know a few people who own bars around Bangkok and they all have to hand over ‘brown envelopes’ every month when all they are doing is trying to make an honest living.

It is ok with the arrest. Eventually they will be transferred to a different place. The person who gave the bribe will get back her money. The drug addicts has been released. Hence it will be considered as everything is back to normal and nothing happened. Case closed

She negotiated it down to 400k, they "found only 364k", perhaps she just got her brother back and 364k, instead of 400k?

And now her brother will be locked up for a long time. If that is love then no thanks.

Considering her brother is probably a dangerous drug dealer - probably a win-win for her.

"The Thai government has implemented various measures to address police corruption, such as establishing anti-corruption units within the police force and introducing anti-corruption laws."

None of which are likely to work as the corruption starts at national government level all the way down to grass roots. Start by cutting it out at the top.
