RIP, a quick exit even if it may have been gruesome for onlookers. Given the driving and riding habits here it is no surprise that these events occur so often.

Truck did not hit him, he hit the truck and it looks like he didn't have a helmet on either. It may or may not have saved his life.

It looks like he was trying to pass the car in front of him, which involved swerving a little into oncoming traffic.  So even though we see this probably every 5 min in Thailand, in this case the width of the road and the size of the truck left zero margin for error.

There needs to be a wholesale change of driving mentality in Thailand.

What side of the road or which pavement to drive on doesn't apply to motorcycles in Thailand.

The report says his head was crushed, therefore I doubt a helmet would have done anything to save life.

Head went under the trucks wheels, in this instance I don't think a helmet would have helped a lot.

Seems that he could not wait to overtake the pick up. To quick , now dead. Nothing for the truck driver to avoid!
