I wondered about that too. Based on the top two countries, I’m guessing “Thai whiskey” was included.

Would be interesting to see the figures for rum.

I did not know that. I  believe Rum is made from sugar cane, so does that mean Thai Whiskey is made from Thai sugar cane?

Yes Sang Som, Mekhong, Hong Thong are all rums

One learns the oddest of facts here which goes back to the question on whiskey and if   the answer is legit ,if  whiskey is rum.   It explains so much now as to why I dislike Thai whiskey, and why so many Thais like the sweet  stuff, much as they like their sugary fizzy drinks.

I never really noticed Thais liking sweet stuff, to be honest with you

 

But my wife hates anything sweet
