It is really sad to know that the tourists is being attacked by stray dogs. Hope the authorities will take some action to control such stray animals roaming in the public places. However I just wonder why these dogs suddenly attack them. Normally stray dogs will not attack unless there are some puppies to protect or someone aggravate them

Some dogs will react if they sense that someone is afraid of them, others are just abnormally aggressive in the same way that some people are. But yes, it is mostly puppies to protect or people annoying them. One of the few times that I felt genuinely threatened by a dog was when I accidentally got between a stray and her puppies - I backed away, watching carefully but not a direct stare, until she felt she had enough space to go past me. Where there are a lot of strays, you can also get packs forming,  these can be both territorial and aggressive.

'Normal' fact, people get attacked multiple times per day all over Thailand, with some disastrous results. Many people get taxis or a ride home because of late night no-go zones..

Seems to be a common occurrence in Ao Nang. I read the title and knew exactly where it was even though it stated Krabi. I was just here last year and these strays were every where on the beach. And once again there is useless material added at the end of the story that has absolutely nothing needed. Please stop this lazy type of writing.
