… to put it in a nutshell: somebody died a couple of months ago and has recently washed up.

When forcibly put into the context of HTMS (certainly prematurely but perhaps correctly -- time will tell) that probably qualifies as news, so fair enough. It should have been the end of the story based on the facts available.

So why feel the need to puff it up by using words like "Harrowing", "Stunning", "Shocking", "Alarming", "A wave of concern", "Scrambling", "A mystery"? It impresses no one, at least not in a positive sense. Stuff that triggers a gag reflex because of the sheer amount of non-sensical adjectives may trigger engagement (this post is a result of that), but any self-esteeming author should aim for engagement by posting insightful stuff or just stick with facts if nothing interesting comes to mind.

To enable authors to afford that mindset (because for them their job depends more on engagement than on content), I invite all readers to show more appreciation from now on for neutral articles as compared to artificially inflated articles.

….. but the advertiser that may require so many words to the article which their advert is attached to? Maybe.

If they can find any non-biased, non-sensationalized stuff out there, it certainly won't be in the gutter press, which is most of the MSM now. The days of the 'newspaper' have gone now and it's staggering to see previously intelligent people quoting them in good faith.
