I love visiting the national parks - camping boating and trakkibg .However it's difficult not to come to the conclusion that they are a national disgrace.

One of Thailand's greatest (and potentially greenest) national treasures, they are mismanaged and largely left to struggle through neglect by successive governments. Chronically underfunded, they are open to corruption - encroachment poaching and decimation of wildlife on all sides, these resources could like in other countries be money-spinners, a jewel in the crown of tourism, instead for the most part they are just a source of national shame
