Congratulations! Good job by the defense force. This should be the way to eradicate the illegal drugs. Just shoot and kill them before they kill thousands of families in the country. No need to arrest and prosecute them in court and waste people's money and time, where these drug traffickers will come out easily using their connection and start back again. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

When Thaksin did this he was accused of human rights violations.

On the other hand, one never knows if these were bonafide narco hoodlums. In the past the  state has killed political  opponents under the guise of combatting the drug trade.

It also depends where the shooting occurs. If along the dense jungle and border, then it is real drug smugglers who are the initial supply chain in that system

I doubt the Thais are the only ones involved in this operation. The American DEA has always been active in this region. They have the technology and surveillance.
