These codeshare flights are getting out of hand. Not only do you have the issue of people thinking they are flying with an airline only to turn up and find it’s operated by another airline, but when airport announcements are made for a flight, it take several minutes. Last time I was at Suvarnabhumi there was a codeshare flight to Samui. Five different airline flight numbers were announced and passengers told to go to gate.  The change of airline doesn’t matter so much as they are all as bad as each other, but we need to find a better way of numbering the flights.

Noticed that my last trip on EVA.  Took the gate people a minute to announce the flight/boarding with a slew of other airline code shares in the mix.  Think I counted at least 5 of them at both LAX and Taipei feeding the onward transits in BKK.
