News Forum - Grab taxi driver threatens to harm former Thai singer
If anyone should reimburse her costs, it's who caused her PTSD to begin with - her brother. Strangers who are having a bad day aren't responsible for her mental problems. Yes, it sounds like the driver was unprofessional and should be reprimanded for that - but between that and compensating her there's a big gap. Being hiso doesn't mean everyone should walk on eggshells around you, princess. -

News Forum - Heartbreaking plea: Thai couple seeks urgent aid to save daughter from China nightmare
As mentioned already - there is no reason why she'd need 100k to get back to Thailand. She needs a fraction of that for a one way flight and a passport or travel document. Unless there's something else not mentioned (debt, legal trouble) then there's no way she'd need that much. Sounds supicious. And that's beside the point - what sort of parents can't afford 100k to save their daughter? surely she have sent them many times that over the years. More of a case of "we don't want to pay it so someone else should" then can't pay it. -

News Forum - 97 year old Thai grandmother abandoned on road by daughter, found soaking in rain
This is what happens when a society expects children to take care of their parents. It's unnatural and puts a burden on the children - especially daughters - which sometimes results in extreme situations like this. Obviously the daughter in this case has had enough. You can't expect your children to take care of you until you're 97 years old - it's too much of a burden.
