Hope this will clear some of the bad publicity on the Phuket Island. It would be easier for these officials  to round up every one if they just ambush all those pubs and night life areas in Phuket especially during peak hours. Can get whales and sharks easily with a small fishing net

Yes they certainly arrested a few Pablo Escabars and Al Capone's there. People in Phuket will sleep easy tonight knowing these hardened criminals who were not registered at the correct address with immigration are now off the streets.

Don’t bother messing around in bars and nightlife. Just walk in to the many, openly advertised, visa offices around the entire country and arrest the people with links to senior immigration officers. These people openly sell visas and extend existing visas. For a fee of course! Right now, I believe the going rate for a Non-O with a years extension based on retirement sells for around 20,000-30,000 baht. If you raid these places, the files on record will take them to all the people who do this and would allow them to close the businesses down. Oh but wait, the Police are totally integrated in to these businesses and so it won’t happen. Round up a few , make a big song and dance about it and make the Thai population think they are keeping them safe from these dangerous aliens.

Racism and the title of Racists only applies to counties where the population is majority white. Now come on @Grumpish, get with the programme 😉😉

I sleep easier now, knowing those criminal elements have been taken off the street and are unlikely to visit my neck of the woods. Perhaps they can also concentrate on other aspects of the mafia in that area, like jetboat scammers and taxis without meters?

Maybe put Big Joke on the job and watch it happen... but then, the envelopes would start to dry up higher up the chain 😪

117 foreigners were fined for not properly registering their accommodation. (of the 138).

Good golly, those were some hardened gangsters they nailed.
