Why do they make these predictions?

What are they based on? Guesses?

With the Baht rising again, Thailand is a less attractive destination.

Will the cost of flights be dropping anytime soon?

Completely correct. The other big caveat for it hitting 80% is for China to open and return to normal life. Even if people are allowed to travel, they won’t leave if they have to do 10 days quarantine on returning. As China made up around 27% of Thailands tourism pre-pandemic, then this is a major market that could remain closed to TAT. If you then add the issue of global recession, incredibly high flight costs from Europe and a strengthening baht, then this isn’t even informed or intelligent guess work. It’s just positive state sponsored propaganda.
