UPDATE New details are unfolding around a Pattaya woman who on November 28 alleged that loan sharks had abducted and assaulted her. The woman, 21 year old Tasneeporn Youngram, had said that four loan sharks had forced her into a car on Soi Paniad Chang in Bang Lamung. She said they then brought her to a deserted road, where they had beaten her.  Tasneeporn said she borrowed 35,000 baht from a woman and had paid off 5,000 of the principal and high interest payments, but missed a payment two days before the loan sharks came after her. well I remember an Issan story with the same kind of 20-somethings ladies and a car and an unpaid loan except they killed and dismembered the victim then fled to Laos. so yeah.

Agreed. What a shame the competition for Thai tourists don’t start showing the blinkered world what kind of place Thailand is really like. Most of these moralistic young westerners would never step foot in the country if they knew. Land of smiles😂
