I might wish to dispute a couple of answers:-

I doubt that https://www.gsb.or.th/ fits the answer.

I seriously doubt the home internet access number

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1091968/thailand-share-of-households-with-internet-connection/

You’re quite right @Chaimaiand thank you for that. My apologies.

Q2 - the word “home” removed from the question and the answer changed to the correct choice.

Q4 - the word “officially” added to the question; answers unchanged. Dodgy but true. Lack of oversight in site registrations or brown envelopes playing a role?

No apology necessary, you are doing a great job with these quizzes.

A respectable 4/5.
Wrong on #5.
I first had internet here in 1998, using TOT dial-up. Looking back, what a PITA it was, although at the time it seemed great!

3 of 5.... The first 3 questions where easy... The cost of broadband in 2000 is hard to believe

Not really, that was the time of internet cafes, 1h 20-100 baht.

I can remember even sat. Internet, dial up for the upload and download over sat. What a pain if you wanted to upload some pictures, at that time.

So GPRS interneting via GSM Phone was interesting, a lot better as the first "common" home internets via modem, lot cheaper too,  with the "up2 128kB" (I think. Long time ago)

And funny, with this overload of wifis, and now everyone online gaming, video streaming, vpn using, wifi (router) is (are) in some areas so messed up, that smartphone 4 or 5 G unlimited packages are the much better choice. And a lot safer anyway.

I couldn't believe it, either, so Googled it.

Before 2002, broadband internet access was offered at more than 25,000 baht per month for a typical speed of 256 kbit/s.
