A German couple in Pattaya was arrested yesterday for overstaying their visa. Arresting officers at the scene discovered that the man wasn’t going to go without a fight. Officers from Bang Lamung Police Station were answering a routine nuisance neighbour call at Soi Panya Nimit in Nongprue, but when they arrived on the scene they discovered the couple had overstayed their welcome so tried to arrest them. Clearly psychopathic behavior. Kudos to the Thai police for their restraint! In the USA the police would have shot the dogs and subdued the suspect with extreme force.

That is puny when compared to the savings that they have done by living in Thailand on an economical way. No wonder those violaters are not worried much about the fine. If they had ovestayed 10 years then the daily fine is less than 6 THB per day. The more they stay the cheaper is the fine imposed.

Fingers crossed he is banned from the Kingdom for as long as possible. He is clearly a danger to himself and others and an extremely unpleasant individual. Fair play for once to the Thai police who seem to have acted with remarkable restraint.
