An armed and distressed Cambodian soldier drove through a checkpoint and crossed the border into Thailand’s eastern province of Sa Kaeo on Saturday night.  The soldier, Colonel Sok Banpol, drove his car to an intersection and parked there. He remained in his car until Sunday morning.
