The two Nordic countries applied to join the alliance in May, partly in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but have since run into trouble from Turkey. Ankara accuses the two of harbouring dissident groups which it classifies as terrorists. Turkey is at risk of being thrown out of NATO so that despot Erdogan needs to smell the coffee.

If it keeps on going with its demands then it may find itself with no friends in the west and only one option but to join the ragtag Russian or Chinese sphere of influence. Going to be massive issues with either.

So keep shooting your mouth off Erdogan. For once people are actually listening to you. However those people do not like what you are doing or saying.

Considering the small number of people involved, and the separation of powers of the judiciary from a pure political move by the Turkish President, perhaps the Swedish and Finnish governments could quietly assist these people to relocate to a non-extradition country pending their NATO membership being completed.

Just takes the pawns off the chess board for the Turkish President to play with. I am sure they would be comfortable sitting out the time in say the Maldives. 😁
