I’d say beyond words. But literally nothing that goes on in Thailand surprises me anymore. In fact I’m more surprised when I hear the police did their job and successfully prosecuted the criminal with sound evidence. Now that’s a news story

fixed it - leads to an arrest and the seizure of assets of which at least 20% are given to the arresting police as a reward. There is likely no good police work & intentions involved in this story. It is corrupt cops feeding off drug dealers and profiting from their crimes. Ask Joe Ferrari where he got his money - exploiting drug dealers down South.

It really ponders when huge quantities of illegal drugs are seized however there is no news on how they are disposed. Now it is clear that how part of the seized drugs are disposed. Thanks for the missing link......🤣

Money too.  When we see a news article about a large money seizure from the wall of a policeman, politician, drug dealer's house, or from under the bed of a monk, add +/- 20% to the sum reported.

It all goes into the backhander kitty fund behind the curtain, shared among participating police after the tribute payment is distributed up the chain of command, hence the teak wood houses in run-of-the-mill rice field villages up-country, with a Mercedes/Beemer parked up out front.   Good gig if you can get it, and like would-be politicians in the western world, they'll contort themselves into pretzel knots to get into office.

Beware the one who say he/she's already rich and doesn't 'need the money'.  What money?  That's a truthful admission wrapped in a lie. The bigger and louder the public bragging about being really, really rich as a means to deflect/delay scrutiny, the more examination required.  🧐
