The Meteorological Department (TMD) has warned people in Northeast, East and Central regions of heavy rain as Tropical Storm Sonca is set to hit Thailand today. The storm will bring heavy rain and strong winds to several provinces in the Northeast including Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham and Ubon Ratchathani. Yesterday they announced that the coming weather fronts would have minimal effect on Thailand and today this!

In Khon Kaen it was raining when I awoke  at 6AM and hasn't stopped for the last 8 hours. Not heavy but persistent. I hope that it is not just a taste of what may come later.

We've not had quite so much rain in the last week and I hoped that it may finally be the end of it.

No hope!

Strange, I originally wrote "w*** up at 6AM", but it seems that word is no allowed!
