RIP sir.  Cannot fathom how someone so young has the time and money to vacation in Thailand, especially if they have some bizarre mental problem.

Did he travel alone in this state?  Is there such a thing as acute onset of psychosis?  Who knew he had this fragile mental condition?  How did he end up in a hospital?  Always so many details missing in these news "reports"

Almost every day there is a news about mentally retarded people in Thailand be it locals or foreigner. This is something serious. May be the authorities need to conduct mental health test for tourists before allowing them to enter the country.

And who’s going to do the mental health tests on the authorities? By any international standards, most  “authorities” would fail.

That is probably because we read TheThaiger almost every day. It makes great sensational headlines, especially foreigners since TheThaiger is read essentially by foreigners somehow linked to Thailand.

Wait, you're mixing up two things.  Retarded is stupid, but mental health is crazy.  You can be crazy, stupid, both, or neither.  This Russian guy sounds like he was crazy but there is nothing suggesting he was stupid too.

Plus, I don't think Thailand wants to limit the number of stupid people entering.  They're the guys who ring the bells at the bars.

Still unclear how an onset of psychosis could've killed him. Did he kill himself? fall down and hit his head or something? it's a bit early to rule out foul play without actually knowing cause of death.
