A new poll of university students revealed that Generation Z does not want an unelected Senate to be a part of the government anymore. Survey showed that by an overwhelming margin of 17 to one, the emerging generation does not want appointed officials. They believe that senators not elected by the people only hinder and undermine democratic rule. There’s only one place for tourist thugs and that’s a spell in the Bangkok Hilton where they might be taught some manners by other prisoners. You come to someone’s country you abide by their rules, show some respect or don’t come

Unelected Senate doesn't just "hinder" Democracy - it completely voids it by definition. Unelected = not a Democracy. Hopefully one day Thais will get to have a real Democracy with really elected leaders, but it's not likely to be soon.
