The tourism president noted that foreign tourists sat down for dinner between 11pm and midnight and want to drink well after that

I have never in my life sat down for dinner at 11PM even as a tourist.

I have been known to sometimes stop for a kebab, Chinese, Indian on the way home after drinking, but that's not dinner.

Bloody stupid rule if you ask me, I know nobody did before someone has a go! Having worked a bar for many a long year on a tourist island in the Mediterranean, I've noticed if we closed early, tourists pour as much alcohol down their throat before closing, however being allowed to drink all day uninterrupted encourages them to order lots of food, they become less inebriated and much more pleasant.
