Actually a smart piece of business by Thailand, considering the baht is 20% lower vs the riel compared to year ago. A tidy profit on the loan in the offers.

Conversely, the government went big on a yen loan earlier this year that will cost billions of baht when it is repaid. Passing on the cost of that error in judgement to Cambodia?
