By comparison, Thailand’s 3.3 million international visitors in the same time period is just 8.5% of the number of tourists travelling to the kingdom before Covid-19. Like all sensible people, I have a fall back plan for if everything in Thailand goes tits up and we all have to leave, or at least I have to leave. Cambodia is pretty much at the bottom of that list of fallback countries.  I didn't get raised and lived/worked in western countries to go back to the mid 1950s in the way I live and where I live . It may make it one day, but right now the place is an underdeveloped sxxt hole, teaming (normally) with low life and/ or exploitative Chinese. Not for me.

Westerners have started crossing out Cambodia after the influx of the Chinese. When the Chinese came with their casinos and constructions and stuffs it opened up a lot of work opportunities and Cambodians just don't see much of a need to sell sex anymore.

Besides the Chinese tourists and the ones that stay there, and the corrupt Cambodian Government kissing up to the CCP, I am sure there is a place one might be able to find that is comfortable to live there at. On another note is I am not sure of the welcome matt the government is giving Americans now since there seems to be a little friction going on. Until the nipples fall off the Thailand buffalo, I am here till I croak.

Yes, me too.  As the years go by and the UK drops further and further away from being a first world country, LOS becomes, to me, more and more attractive as a place to live.  I can't think of anywhere else where I would be as comfortable and happy as I am here.  Certainly not Cambodia.

I could relocate there to Siem Reap if needed, but I would also try to do many long visits back to here to stay with my family. That is unless that closed up and they made that hard. I think I could also occupy my time with small traveling out to places around the country and to Vietnam, but honestly unless the general Chinese character persona changed, I would try to avoid the saturated areas with too many Chinese tourists, and would pick the areas that had the concentration of Vietnamese folk which is more my speed. So Cambodia could be in the cards for me as Siem Reap is also pretty close to the border of Thailand. But yes, my love is Thailand and my whole life is here.

How does Cambodia class a 'tourist', rather than a 'visitor'?

I suspect that since Thailand stopped issuing the 60-day Covid extensions, Cambodia would have had an influx of 'visitors' from Thailand making a border hop for a VE entry back into Thailand, or a visit to the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh for a new Visa.

Hardly what I would class as 'tourists'.
