KaptainRob Posted August 13, 2022 #240390 Share Posted August 13, 2022 I sincerely hope all victims or the families sue the owner and others, including the RTP/local authority, for all they can get.
Venusianhart Posted August 13, 2022 #240395 Share Posted August 13, 2022 Anyone remember the orphan girls home that burned in the Chiang Rai area a few years ago? Similar negligence and/or malfeasance by the authorities, similar tragic body count Unless there are a few bereaved hi-so parents Mt B will likely see a similar outcome, it all quickly went away. I never heard of a follow up. Not even what became of the surviving orphans.

Tragic when kids and teenagers perish like that, especially due to greedy and corrupt practices.
Leo Posted August 14, 2022 #240659 Share Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) Quote The government was offering 4,000 baht in compensation for those injured (about 0.7% of her bills so far) and Sia B, the owner who was freed on 300,000 baht bail already, pledged to pay 10,000 baht to each injured victim, about 1.5% of her current medical bills. Good thing you are reminding everyone of the travesty. The owner is out on bail on the exorbitant amount of........$9,000, when the charge is manslaughter x 18 (and counting) plus bribery, plus illegal operation, plus other offenses, he's offering $300 per victim as compensation, and the local government is adding another $115 to his generous (and obligatory) offer. WTF is this? This requires the parents to band together. Corruption has consequences. Time to start changing things.
