110 faulty bottles of Sinovac vaccine rejected by Thai FDA

The Food and Drug Administration says it has found 110 faulty bottles of the CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech that contain lumps of gel. Surachok Tangwiwat from the FDA says CoronaVac vials need to be shaken prior to use but, in the case of the defective bottles, even shaking would not dissolve the gel. According to a Coconuts report, the FDA has issued a statement confirming that 110 bottles have been found to be defective, instructing healthcare workers not to administer them. If the government is claiming that no doses from this batch were administered they are lying. People who received their second shot of Sinovac last Wednesday at Jungceylon received doses from this lot.

K C. These bottles contained fat globules, would you feel comfortable with a fat embolism? It can cause death.

Of course I saw the tongue in cheek. Just checking that you are on the ball K.C.

On a serious note, Sinovac is not very popular generally (reading many comments on BP) et al and this adds fuel to the fire. The UK will not give Sinovac approval plus the Civil Aviation Authority have recommended to Airlines that potential passengers must have approved vaccines.
