Thailand has recorded its first case of monkeypox, the 71st country in the world during this recent outbreak, only the fourth since the start of the 21st century. Monkeypox is spread through direct contact or via bodily fluids and, in this current outbreak, has spread primarily amongst men who have sex with men.

So he had 1 week already symptoms before he went to a hospital?

And did they ask him about his sexual contacts on Phuket, perhaps?

Hat's off to the Thai authorities for identifying this unfortunate individuals nationality and recent travel patterns to the general public. 

Unlike in Western Countries where due to political correctness they are unwilling to which in turn panics the general population into thinking Monkeypox at large in the population.

“During the night, the 27 year old Nigerian man allegedly escaped from a private hospital in Phuket and drove away in a white car. Officials are currently tracking him down but his whereabouts are unknown.”

Geez, they make it sound like he’s an escaped convict. He’s probably scared what restrictions and costs will be applied to him.
